Mold Remediation - Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia

Mold is a part of the outdoor environment, these molds have an important role of decomposition of organic matter. Mold indoors however should be avoided, it can cause adverse health effects to both humans and animals.  Mold can grow on just about anything provided oxygen and moisture are present, however typically it grows in damp dark areas. When excessive moisture accumulates in buildings or on building materials, mold growth will often occur, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or unaddressed. Some of the most common locations mold is found within a building is; bathrooms, boiler rooms, basements, janitors closets and laundry rooms.

It has only been in the last decade has mold become a more prevalent issue because of the media. TEG Services performed their first mold remediation long before the new EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines were in place. Many jurisdictions including Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, are beginning to adopt new legislation to regulate mold remediation and / or inspections. Our objective on all microbial projects is to control, contain, and remediate the contamination, as well as establish a healthy environment for building occupants.  If your building has a suspected mold problem and should need remediation call TEG Services.
